Registered agent

Colorado requires one. An LLC must list a registered agent with a Colorado street address who has consented to serve; since July 1, 2025 an individual agent must be 18 or older and verified by a current Colorado driver's license or state ID (or an agent passcode), and an entity agent must be in good standing with a Colorado place of business.

What you owe after year one

Due in the LLC's assigned periodic report month, with a penalty-free window running from two months before through two months after that month.

Missing it is the most common way a good standing lapses, and restoring one costs more than filing on time.
